Our first view of Everest

It was a spine-tingling moment during our flight into Kathmandu as the Himalayas came into view on our right. Cruising at 37,000 feet in our Malaysia Airlines 737, we could clearly see one peak rising above all others, virtually level with our position - Mount Everest.

As Ken said when he saw it: "This trip just got real"
